Director
DREW LARKIN
Drew began his career in 1996 as an apprentice carpenter and joiner, building his skills on high-end residential and commercial projects, including custom timber joinery, hospitality fit-outs and hotel interiors. His craftsmanship, attention to detail and commitment to quality were recognised early in his career when he was awarded Apprentice of the Year for Joinery and Carpentry in 1997.
After transitioning into residential construction, Drew became a Registered Builder in 2002, delivering custom homes, renovations and extensions throughout the region. His passion for quality building and client satisfaction saw him recognised as Young Builder of the Year in 2013.
In 2006, Drew partnered with Craig Drought to establish Larkin & Drought Homes. Together, they have built a reputation for delivering award-winning homes defined by exceptional craftsmanship, personalised service and enduring quality. Under Drew's leadership, the business has grown into one of the region's most respected custom home builders, with recognition at both state and national levels.
Outside of work, Drew enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, surfing along the coast, camping with his family and cheering on the Geelong Cats.

Director
CRAIG DROUGHT
Craig began his building career in 1990 as an apprentice with Wycombe Constructions, gaining valuable experience across a diverse range of commercial projects, including retail developments, university facilities and retirement villages.
He later joined Oak Park Constructions, where he spent seven years progressing to the role of Foreman. Managing large-scale construction projects and leading teams of up to 80 tradespeople, Craig developed extensive expertise in project management, carpentry and concrete construction. His broad knowledge of the building industry has also made him highly experienced in the design and construction of custom concrete inground pools.
In 2006, Craig partnered with Drew Larkin to establish Larkin & Drought Homes. Together, they have built a reputation for delivering award-winning homes that combine exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful design and a highly personalised building experience. Craig's practical approach, wealth of industry knowledge and commitment to quality continue to play a key role in the success of the business.
Outside of work, Craig enjoys spending time with his family, surfing whenever he gets the chance and travelling in search of quality waves around the world.

Foreman/Supervisor
JAMIE PAISLEY
Jamie is a third-generation tradesman with a lifelong passion for the building industry. As Site Foreman at Larkin & Drought Homes, he plays a vital role in ensuring each project runs efficiently from start to finish.
With a strong ability to think ahead, Jamie excels at coordinating trades, scheduling work and keeping projects moving forward. His practical approach, excellent organisational skills and focus on productivity help minimise delays and reduce waste, ensuring every home is built as efficiently as possible without compromising on quality.
Jamie is highly dedicated to his work and takes pride in delivering exceptional outcomes for both the team and our clients. His extensive industry knowledge and hands-on approach make him an invaluable part of the Larkin & Drought Homes team.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with his family, heading away camping and getting out on the water whenever he can for a spot of fishing.

Leading Hand
AARON HERBERT
Aaron is an exceptionally talented carpenter and a highly respected member of the Larkin & Drought Homes team. As Leading Hand, he leads by example, setting an outstanding standard of craftsmanship on every project. His attention to detail and commitment to quality are second to none, earning him a reputation as one of the finest carpenters you'll come across.
Known for his calm, patient and methodical approach, Aaron takes great pride in doing things the right way. He is a natural mentor who enjoys sharing his knowledge with apprentices and fellow tradespeople, helping develop the next generation of skilled carpenters while maintaining the high standards Larkin & Drought Homes is known for.
Aaron's dedication to his craft, combined with his leadership and willingness to teach others, makes him an invaluable part of the team and someone clients can trust to deliver exceptional workmanship.
When he's not on site, Aaron enjoys taking a well-earned holiday and spending time with his family, especially visiting his children as they travel and explore the world.

Carpenter/Landscaper
DANIEL LANE
Daniel joined Larkin & Drought Homes in 2011, bringing with him a strong background in high-end landscaping. As a qualified landscaper, he spent several years creating premium gardens throughout Geelong and the Surf Coast, specialising in native horticulture.
Driven to broaden his skills, Daniel completed a second apprenticeship in carpentry with Larkin & Drought Homes and has since become an integral part of the team. His unique combination of landscaping and building expertise allows him to see the bigger picture, helping clients consider not only their home but how it will connect with the surrounding outdoor spaces.
Known for his quiet nature, unwavering reliability and exceptional work ethic, Daniel is someone who leads through actions rather than words. He is highly particular in his work, with an exceptional eye for detail and a commitment to achieving the highest standard on every project. Dedicated to the team, he takes great pride in his craftsmanship and is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

Carpenter
TRENT WEST
Standing tall both on and off the job site, Trent brings the same dedication and work ethic to Larkin & Drought Homes that he once brought to his AFL career. After retiring from professional football, he traded the field for the tools and has become a valued member of our team.
Known for his reliability, attention to detail and strong work ethic, Trent takes pride in delivering quality craftsmanship on every project. Away from work, he's a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his loved ones and tending to his small farm. His down-to-earth nature, commitment and genuine character make him a great fit for both our team and our clients.
